Container homes are popping up all around the US these days where proggressive minds can easily share their passion. They have been used in some European countries for a few years now, including commercial spaces as well as multi-unit housing. Here in the US, the single family home is where the average shipping container has gained its popularity so far. It’s got the “green” side down solid. These containers all have a lifespan, and after their lifespan has been surpassed, they sit unused; overpopulating our shipping storage yards rusting away. Finding this oh-so creative way of utilizing them, we get to enjoy not only the eccentric, raw design aesthetic, but also an alternative to standard construction.
